Lingua
“Scoglietto” is an almost vegetation-free island on the top of which is the lighthouse of Portoferraio, built in 1910. The sea that surrounds this island has been included since 1971 in the area of biological protection “Le Ghiaie-Scoglietto – Capo Bianco”, within which any type of fishing is prohibited. Thanks to this the area is rich in sedentary fish such as large groupers, corvine and capons.
